This intricately detailed Chinese carved rosewood mask is truly captivating. The mask features a crown adorned with a lotus flower, and a flaming pearl, all flanked by two dragons. The mask is enhanced with inset glass and enamel eyes, as well as carved bone as dragon’s teeth. Remarkably, the mask retain its original eyes, and most of the dragon’s teeth are still intact, which is very rare. the mask is mounted with a hanging bracket, the craftsmanship in the rosewood carving is absolutely exquisite.
The male mask exhibits some cracking on the beard and on the right eye.
